Injectable fillers are gels of hyaluronic acid which are used to restore areas of volume of loss thereby correcting hollows in the face, sagging of the skin, and deep folds that appear as we age. There is minimal discomfort with this procedure and minimal downtime. Most people are familiar with the traditional of use of fillers to improve the appearance of frown lines, tired eyes, or enhance lip size, but they can be used for so much more, including facial sculpting, jawline contouring, brow lifting, ear lobe rejuvenation, neck and chest rejuvenation, hand rejuvenation, and correcting skin dimples and cellulite. The results are immediate and typically last at least 6 months, but the duration varies depending on the treatment location. While many doctors may offer filler treatments, there is nothing that can compare with the expertise that comes with the twelve years of training required to become an American Board Certified dermatologist. In my training, I had to not only master facial anatomy and structure and learn the science behind the safe and proper use of injectable fillers, but more importantly I developed my artistic eye and an ability to use fillers to give my patients enhancements that are true to their natural beauty and that looks completely effortless.
